TORs and the new carbon monoxide devices aren’t the only innovations in the pipeline from National Grid, as the latest Low Carbon Networks and Innovation (LCNI) Conference showed.
At the event, which saw more than 800 delegates from 14 countries meet in Aberdeen, we showcased a range of new technology that we’ve been working on with partner companies.
Examples included Prism, which replaces pipes by blowing a polymer into an existing pipe to create a new one, and Cast-iron Sealant Robot (Cisbot) – robotic technology that repairs leaks in gas main joints.
These projects are all examples of how we’re working towards our overall goal of operating safely, securely and cheaply as possible, while minimising disruption for you.
