National Grid has been ranked as a global leader for the quality of climate change data it has submitted to the Carbon Disclosure Project, the world’s only global environmental disclosure system.

The achievement was announced today in the CDP Global 500 Climate Change Report 2013, which tracks how the world’s largest listed companies are acting in response to a changing climate.

CDP’s Global 500 Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI) highlights companies that have displayed a strong approach to the disclosure of climate change information. Companies are scored out of 100 on the standard of their submissions – National Grid’s score was 98.
